Oh no March 31, 2010 | 07:39 pm

I was recently clued in to Stuff White People Like.  I was dismayed to learn that all the danceable hooks in the world won’t get white friends in the audience to dance.  See #67, Standing Still at Concerts:

… when white people go to concerts at smaller venues, what to do they do? They stand still! This is an important part of white concert going as it enables you to focus on the music, and it will prevent drawing excess attention to you. Remember, at a concert everyone is watching you just waiting for you to try to start dancing. Then they will make fun of you.

Luckily, under #41 Indie Music:

To a white person, being a fan of a band before they get popular is one of the most important things they can do with their life.

Now’s your chance!

mmm

Since this is my first post and my first ever piece of writing about sake, I figure I should set the bar low and impress you all later by exceeding expectations.

Sara no Kaze: a junmai sake polished to 60% grain size. I selected it because it came with a free thimble-sized drinking glass and was named after someone who spells Sara the right way.  This one made me feel like a million bucks.

Damn, playing in a festival like this is seriously the only reason why I am in a band.  Please, bandmates, I implore you, let’s try to make this next year on stage.

just a test but still a first post! March 16, 2010 | 10:40 am
